Why Zaxbys is expanding now
In its February 2026 announcement the company tied its growth to a wider brand refresh, including new restaurant designs and a push into busy places like college campuses, military bases and travel hubs. It also pointed to strong interest from franchise owners in states where the brand had no stores before.
For guests, that mainly means more places to find the same menu. The core items stay the same, while limited-time offers come and go across the whole chain. Follow our menu updates to see what is new.
How we track new openings
We only list an opening when we can point to a source with a date, such as a company announcement or a trade publication. Social media rumors and job ads for stores that are not open yet do not count. When we add an opening, we link the source at the bottom of this page.
If you see a new Zaxbys in your area that we have missed, let us know through our contact page and include a link or photo of the store sign. We will check it before adding it.
What to expect on opening week
New Zaxbys restaurants often draw long lines in the first days. Order ahead in the app once your store appears in it, and expect a short menu learning curve as new teams settle in.
