Vanilla is the lightest at 570 calories, and Birthday Cake is the richest at 730. All four list milk. Zaxbys Cookie Butter milkshake and other special shakes
The Zaxbys Cookie Butter milkshake was a promotional shake rather than a regular flavor. Zaxbys gave it away free on 1 December 2025 as day one of its “12 Days of Saucemas” app deals for rewards members (MediaPost). It is not in the November 2025 official guide, so it is not a menu item you can count on.
Two other special shakes ran in 2026: Peaches & Cream, which launched with the dry rubs in February and ran through 26 April, and Banana Pudding, which returned on 27 April and ran through 30 August 2026 (Nation’s Restaurant News). Both have ended. Check the limited time menu for what is new now.
Zaxbys desserts: cookies and cheesecake bites
If you don’t want a shake, there are two other sweet choices.
- Chocolate Chip Cookie: Calories are per cookie. 170 calories; allergens: milk, egg, wheat, soy, gluten; example price $2.99.
- Fried Cheesecake Bites: Crispy cheesecake bites. Strawberry dipping sauce is listed separately. 520 calories; allergens: milk, wheat, gluten; example price $6.49.
The Chocolate Chip Cookie is the small add-on, easy to share or tuck into any order. Fried Cheesecake Bites come as a full or half order, and the strawberry dipping sauce is listed separately at 180 calories.
Zaxbys shake flavors by sugar and size
Calories are only part of the story with desserts. The official guide also lists sugar. A Chocolate Milkshake lists 111 g of sugar and a Vanilla Milkshake 93 g, while one Chocolate Chip Cookie lists 15 g. A full order of Fried Cheesecake Bites lists 16 g before the dipping sauce. If you want a sweet finish without a big jump in sugar, the cookie or a half order of cheesecake bites is the gentler choice.
Shakes are also filling on their own. If you plan to have one with a meal, a smaller meal such as a Big Zax Snak or a single sandwich keeps the total in check. The menu prices page shows the total for any combination, and the nutrition facts table lets you sort every dessert by sugar.
