Is Zaxbys open on Thanksgiving 2026? Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, 2026, and the honest answer is that it depends on your restaurant: each Zaxbys sets its own holiday hours. Here is how to check, what to expect the day before and after, and how to plan a Zaxbys order for a holiday crowd.
Key takeaways
- Thanksgiving 2026 is Thursday, November 26.
- We found no official, chain-wide Thanksgiving schedule from Zaxbys. Most restaurants are franchise-run, and each one decides whether it opens on the holiday and for how long.
- The most reliable place to check is your store’s page in the official Zaxbys app or the locator on zaxbys.com, or a quick phone call.
- Feeding family that week? A Zax Packz family meal or a catering order placed a day ahead is the easiest way to do it.
Is Zaxbys open on Thanksgiving Day 2026?
Some Zaxbys restaurants may open on Thanksgiving and others may close. As of late October 2026, Zaxbys has not published one holiday schedule that covers every location, so we can’t promise that a store near you will be open or closed on November 26.
You will see other websites state that “all Zaxbys are closed on Thanksgiving” or list exact holiday hours. We could not find an official Zaxbys source for those claims, so we don’t repeat them as fact. Thanksgiving is the day when restaurants in general are most likely to close or shorten their hours, so plan as if your store might be closed and confirm before you drive.
How to check your Zaxbys Thanksgiving hours
- Open the official Zaxbys app or the locator on zaxbys.com and choose your restaurant. Restaurants update their own hours there.
- Look at the date, not just “today”. Check the hours shown for Thursday, November 26.
- Call the restaurant if the app shows normal hours for the holiday. It takes a minute and saves a wasted trip.
- Check again the night before. Holiday hours are sometimes added late.

What about the day before and Black Friday?
Wednesday, November 25 is often a busy takeout day, as people travel and skip cooking. Order ahead in the app if you can, so you are not waiting in line.
Friday, November 27 (Black Friday) usually follows a store’s normal schedule, but holiday weeks can bring changes, so the same rule applies: check the app for that date. For every other holiday, from Christmas Eve to July 4, see our Zaxbys holiday hours guide.
Feeding a crowd on Thanksgiving week
If the family wants chicken instead of turkey, or you need lunch for helpers on the day before, Zaxbys has two group options on the regular menu.
Zax Packz family meals
According to the official Zaxbys menu one-pager, each Zax Packz comes with large crinkle fries, 4 pieces of Texas toast and sauces:
- Zax Packz: 20 Chicken Fingerz: 3,970 calories for the whole pack. The easiest choice for mixed groups and kids, because everyone picks their own sauce.
- Zax Packz: 30 Boneless Wings: 4,630 to 5,200 calories for the whole pack, depending on the sauce. Better for a group that wants to share flavors.
As a rough guide, one pack shared by 4 people works out to about 990 calories each for the Fingerz pack and about 1,160 for the wings pack. Shared by 6 people, it is about 660 and 770 calories each. For a bigger group, add 10-piece Fingerz or wings, an extra large fry or a basket of Texas toast.
Catering for larger gatherings
For bigger gatherings, Zaxbys catering offers Zalad platters, boxed sandwiches, Texas toast and coleslaw by the tub. Catering usually needs to be ordered in advance, so place it a day or two before the holiday and confirm the pickup time with your restaurant.
Prices vary by restaurant, so check the total in the app before you order. Want to see what a plate adds up to? Try our Zaxbys nutrition calculator.
Allergies at the holiday table
If someone at your table avoids milk, egg, wheat or another allergen, use the filter on our Zaxbys allergen menu to see which items list none of them. Zaxbys kitchens share equipment and fryers, so cross-contact is possible. Anyone with a severe allergy should ask the restaurant before ordering.
